Common Questions

How many lessons will I need?

It depends on you. The DVSA says the average learner needs about 45 hours of lessons with an instructor, plus 22 hours of private practice. After your first lesson we'll give you an honest idea, and packages bring the hourly price down from £41.

What do I need for my first lesson?

Your valid provisional driving licence, and your glasses or contact lenses if you need them for driving.

Which areas do you cover?

Hull, Hessle and Cottingham. Lessons start and finish at a pick-up point we agree with you.

Should I learn in a manual or an automatic?

A manual pass lets you drive both types of car, while an automatic pass covers automatics only. Automatic can feel easier because there's no clutch or gears. Compare manual and automatic lessons.

What if I need to cancel a lesson?

Give at least 48 hours' notice and there's no charge. See our cancellation policy.
